Srishti Sigchi's Inaugural Designathon
EnVision 2025 a first for SMI SIGCHI ! A dynamic two-day designathon spread over the 18th and 19th of January 2025, bringing together creative minds to tackle pressing design challenges. Participants engaged in intensive brainstorming sessions, culminating in project proposals evaluated by esteemed judges, including Narendra Ghate, Senior Vice President at HDFC Bank; Shivpriya V, an accomplished entrepreneur; and Hemanth Ramesh, Senior Design Manager at Infosys. The event served as a platform for aspiring designers to showcase their talents, push creative boundaries, and collaborate on innovative solutions.

Design Karkhana

The Design Karkhana is a hub for HCI and technology workshops, hosting diverse sessions led by students, industry experts, and faculty from various backgrounds. This year, we hosted a beginner-friendly Figma workshop that introduced students across all years to key features such as Auto Layout, Components, Variants, etc. The Karkhana encourages students to explore new tools and gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software, helping them stay current and skilled in the evolving design landscape.
Framer Masterclass

This year, we went above and beyond by organizing an in-house Framer workshop, where team members came together to learn the fundamentals of the tool. Key features such as responsiveness, stacks, and layout design were introduced. The workshop fostered a collaborative learning environment, enabling everyone to pick up the basics while learning from one another.
Design Sprint
2nd September 2024
The Design Sprint is a quick and fun introduction to problem solving in design. Participants go from finding a problem to solving it. This quick sprint allows participants to think on the go and come up with innovative solutions. The event allows for students to network and collabrate on devolping quick and effective problem solving.
